Great start to 2017 being part of the consortium that successfully bid for and won the Kent County Council contract to provide youth activities in Swale for the next 5 years ,Amicus Horizon (The local housing association) is the lead partner and we run the Faversham clubs along with Brogdale CIC. As a main provider for activities in Swale we now offer Swale schools a 10% discount on all site or school based activities. We are now in the process of finalising a great programme of activities for the young people of Swale during the school summer holidays.

We are still running monthly activity days for young people that are home educated and our school business is picking up nicely. Our Friday night youth club at West Faversham Community Centre runs from 7:30 – 10pm and is regularly attended by around 25-30 young people from the local area. We also own the youth bus, a double decker that is used as a mobile youth club in the outlying villages, fitted with tv’s, video games, dvd player, music, arts and crafts area and a cafe area with internet access.

Our Facebook page broke through the 500 ‘likes’ and we regularly put up posters of where we will be with the mobile climbing wall and live feeds from the events on the day. We are trialling an open activity day that young people can book onto individually and take part in climbing, archery, team building, physical activities and survival skills.
